Using Nearpod to Develop Writing Fluency among EFL students

 This study investigated the effect of using the Nearpod learning
platform on developing English writing fluency among adult EFL
learners in a blended learning environment. The researcher
developed a list of writing fluency components. Based on this list,
a pre- and post-writing fluency test and a rubric for evaluating the
students’ writing fluency qualitatively were designed. In addition,
a writing fluency program was designed using Nearpod. A
purposive sample composed of 15 Egyptian EFL second year
students at the faculty of Education- Ain Shams University, aged
between 19 and 21, was selected to participate in the study. The
participants were engaged in the program’s interactive and
structured activities through the Nearpod program. Pre- and posttests were administered, and the collected data underwent both
quantitative and qualitative analysis. The findings revealed that the
Nearpod program had a significant positive impact on developing
writing fluency of the EFL undergraduate students.
